The founders

The Jewish community center of Addis Ababa was founded four years ago by Rabbi Eliyahu and Rebbetzin Devorah Leah Chaviv, Emissaries of the Lubavitcher Rebbe King Moshiach, to ready Ethiopia for the coming of Moshiach.

The Center is intended to be a lighthouse that illuminates its surroundings in the light of Judaism and spirituality, by providing kosher food, Shabbat and holiday meals and an aid center.

We cater for the local community, businessmen and Jewish tourists providing for them a warm and authentic Jewish atmosphere.

Materializing our dream

We are building a center that will contain all the needs of the Jewish community and will serve as a beacon of light for the local Jews and the nations of the world.

The building will be built to a luxurious standard and will include a Mikvah, a synagogue, a kindergarten, study rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious dining room.

Laying the foundation

In order to build the Chabad House we need to buy the land as soon as possible
